Emily @roamingdruggist had a great run yesterday in the Half Marathon. She came away with a solid Competition and Lifetime Personal Best due to her dedication in the gym this past month. The mind will quit before the body. // The months coming up to this race have been full of excuses (illness, travel, life and work stressors) that have kept me from ever getting my head in the game of training. I downgraded my race from a marathon to a half and considered cancelling it completely. Ultimately, I made the decision to go for it and walk as much as I need to. I went into this race having barely trained (30 miles in August and 9 miles in September). I had no expectations going into this race except to have fun and do what I could. // I finished the race with a 1:50 PR on my all time best half and a 17 minute PR on my race half. Good things happen when your mind and body sync up. // #mocowbellmarathon
