        Danielle got out and tore up the 5K course this morning. Her pursuit of a sub 3 hour marathon continues at a strong pace. // Repost @captainrunderpants // First race of the summer in the books! It was hot. It was humid. It was hard as shit, but it was fun! Fought hard for 18:44 (6:02 avg) and 8th place female!

                    Don’t spin your tires. There’s training that’s optimal and there’s training that’s not optimal. When you’re dealing with the art of physical preparation, stronger is better, and stronger is tougher both mentally and physically. Address strength first during a properly scheduled pre-season preparation cycle, address tactical/ technical next, and finally, address physical conditioning.
